Dries Van Noten is a Belgian designer, described as “one of the most cerebral designers” and shy on the world of fashion and art.
In 1981 he graduated with the class known as the “Antwerp Six”, a group of designers who became particularly influential in the fashion system, like Walter Van Beirendonck, Ann Demeulemeester, Dirk Van Saene, Dirk Bikkembergs and Marina Yee. Even before graduating, the collections created by the student Van Noten attracted the attention of Barney’s.
In 1988 Van Noten received recognition from the Flemish community for his contribution in the world of fashion.
